We’re bringing Tales & Trails to Thompson Falls!

About

Trails & Tales gets little ones and their families outside for a summer story time and nature walk.  KLT  and the Thompson Falls Public Library collaborate to select children’s library books with a lesson in nature. Each week a new theme is woven through the stories and nature walk as children and families bond over books and connect with the land.

Each month will feature a different trail, and each week will highlight a different topic! Check out the full schedule down below.

Details

We will meet at the trail (most) Tuesdays throughout the summer at 11:00 am MST. The schedule below has the exact details. We will walk along the trail as a group and find some shady spots to read our stories before heading back to the vehicles.

All trails in this series are mostly level with very little grade and are surfaced with gravel, dirt, and/or mulch. We will walk about 1 mile total each day, depending on the needs of the group. If you would like more specific trail conditions, please reach out to me or see the map links below! This is an inclusive event for all ages and abilities.

Please bring a water bottle and appropriate shoes/clothing for outdoor fun. Parent/guardian must remain with children throughout the program.
