Kicking off the spring line up of Kaniksu Folk School with our seasonal gathering at Pine Street Woods, the Spring Faire is family friendly, free, and fun! Enjoy old time games, traditional craft demonstrations, free classes, and live music in the fresh outdoor air. Plus, sign up for one of our spring season classes.

SPRING FAIRE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

All Day Activities: (12pm-4pm)

-Hands-on timber frame demonstration

-Homemade butter making

-Old-Time Throwing Games for all ages

12:00-12:45pm Music by Fiddlin’ Red

1:00pm Bread contest judging begins. (All bread for contest must be entered by 1:00pm)

1:30pm Announcement of the Ultimate Bread Winner and Bread Feast

2:00pm Wood Carving Mini-Class with Shaun Deller and Matt Honsinger (12 yr old and up. Limited spaces available)

3:00-3:45 Irish Music by Brendan Kelty and friends.

Kaniksu Folk School’s Bread Baking Contest Rules and Regulations:

Time to flour up your hands and get out your best bread recipe for our traditional bread baking contest!

The contest entry begins at 12:00 pm on April 16th, 2022

and ends at 1:00pm on April 16th, 2022

No more than one entry per person will be accepted.

Breads of all varieties can be entered but must be homemade.

Judging Criteria is based on taste and quality, appearance, artistic flair and shaping.
