Conservation Internships Keep it Wild
The Conservation and Education Internships support the missional work of KLT. During summer months, KLT hosts Camp Kaniksu and Trails & Tales, which are highly-attended programs that engage children with the land to experience the natural world. KLT also hosts a variety of fundraising and community events that are central to building support for land conservation efforts. As well, there are a myriad of conservation opportunities including work on our public access properties and visits to support monitoring efforts on private conservation lands. We will strive to engage you with a variety of tasks and opportunities to strengthen your knowledge and understanding of non-profit land trusts.
The Conservation and Education Interns’ responsibilities include assisting with outreach through KLT programs and summer events; assisting in marketing to promote Trails & Tales and other summer programs and events; helping to plan and design outreach and education initiatives; assisting in the ongoing maintenance of Pine Street Woods; and additional office support.
